We released the FaHN 2016 Year in Review at our annual member & sponsor recognition party on Oct. 20th. The report includes updates on many of the projects we’ve worked on this year, including:
The release of our annual Community Garden & Urban Agriculture Report and our summer meal food service assessment titled, “Closing the Gap on Childhood Food Insecurity”- Launching our new series of Growing Health Forums. Over 90 people attended our first event in April, titled Healthy Food, Healthy Communities. A second forum on fruit & vegetable prescription programs is planned to take place on November 17th
- Growing our farm to school program. So far, in 2016 FaHN has partnered with 17 school districts in three counties to provide local food to children
