Nicole Kaczmarczyk, a Farm to School AmeriCorps member, visited The Learning Center at St. Anthony’s in Endicott to facilitate a Farm to School activity. Pre-K students helped chop up apples for a Baked Apple Cinnamon Parfait and then mix them with brown sugar and cinnamon! Finally, they were baked and served with vanilla yogurt. Students loved the hands-on learning and enjoying a delicious snack! It is important for children to learn about the importance of eating fresh and wholesome foods. This experience allowed for students to learn about healthy eating in a fun and engaging way! Thank you to St. Anthony’s for allowing Nicole to visit, foster healthy habits, and share knowledge with the students.
