Food systems revolve around consumers. A healthy regional food system revolves around informed consumers who have fair access to healthy and local food and are connected with the production, processing, distribution, and post-consumption phases of the food cycle.

FaHN’s vision for farm to consumer connections: Locally produced food that is accessible and affordable is purchased by citizens and institutions through a variety of channels. Citizens have means of and are connected to producing, preparing, and preserving food.
