Farm to School

Get Involved!

Are you a farmer, food hub, processor, or distributor interested in selling to schools?
School districts in Broome, Tioga, Delaware, Chenango, Madison, and Otsego Counties are looking for fresh and value-added products, including fruit, vegetables, meat, and dairy, to use in school lunches.

Take a look at our “The Basics of Selling to School Districts” reference sheet for information about local procurement.

Are you a school that wants to start a Farm to School program? Whether that’s coordinating taste tests in school, building or maintaining a school garden, organizing a farm field trip, hosting a garden curriculum workshop, or recruiting a Farm to School Corps Member for your district, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Are you passionate about your local food system or community organizing? Do you love to cook or have experience working in public schools? Contact us and we will connect you with the right folks in your area to get you on the ground!
